Jill Katz has excavated at several sites in Israel, including Ashkelon, Tel Haror/Gerar, Tell es-Safi/Gath, and most recently at Jerusalem's Ophel. Her research interests focus on the relationship between Canaanites, Philistines, and Israelites in the Land of Israel during the Bronze and Iron Ages.
